Barbara Jean Large

Barbara Jean Large, age 72, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 5:03 pm Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at  her home.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Barbara was born on February 8, 1951, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Roy and Gertrude (Amos) Large.

Survivors include her sister, Shirley Bowler of Hannibal, MO, special niece, Trudy Earnest and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, George Large and Robert Large and seven sisters, Delores Robertson, Mary Large, Sandra Kay Large, Hallie Mack, Joan Stewart, Joann Taylor and Alberta Griggs.

Professionally Barbara worked for Golden Corral before her retirement.

Barbara had the best time shopping with her niece and friends on their outings to Walmart and Dollar Tree. Family gatherings at her niece's house was some of her most cherished times spent with her children. Barbara was a very kind, sweet-hearted lady and was always willing to lend a hand when needed, especially helping with weddings, food prep and catering.
