Barbara Ann Doutt

Barbara Ann Doutt, 59, of Independence, Mo. passed away Friday, August 25, 2017. Arrangements for cremation are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel, in Hannibal, Mo. Barbara was born on August 27, 1957, in Independence, Mo. the daughter of Samuel Blair and Vera Martina (Hein) Doutt. Survivors include her mother, Vera Doutt; one son, Nick Holtgrieve; two sisters Sara and husband Marvin and Marjorie and husband Mark; and several nieces and nephews. Ms. Doutt was preceded in death by her father. Barbara graduated from Lee's Summit High School in 1975 and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Central Missouri State University. Barbara enjoyed volunteering at local charities along with gardening, crafts, sewing, cooking and spending time with her loving family and friends.
