Ruthe Musgrove Obituary
Ruthe Musgrove, 83, of New London, Mo. passed away at 9:38 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015.
A Memorial Celebration will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at the New London First Christian Church. Pastor Tom Day will officiate.
Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.
The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
Ruthe was born July 14, 1931, in Portis, Ks. the daughter of Roy and Daisy (Mills) Robertson. Due to the death of her mother at an early age, Ruthe was raised by Samuel and Margaret Wood.
She married Harry Pierce Musgrove on April 16, 1950, in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on November 13, 2014.
Survivors include two children, Becky Musgrove of Hannibal, Mo. and Jim Musgrove and wife Sue of Avon Park, FL; five grandchildren, Jeanie Epperson (Doug), Steve Lewton (Michelle), Matt Lewton (Tara), Kimberly Musgrove (Tony Bremmer) and Aaron Musgrove (Tonya); thirteen great grandchildren; four brothers, Don, Phil, Roy and Wayne; one sister, Mary Kay; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband Mrs. Musgrove was preceded in death by one infant son, Steven Charles Musgrove, two brothers, Jim and Bud, and four sisters, Laura Faye, Oleta, Evelyn and Dot.
Ruthe owned and operated Ruthe's Beauty Salon in Oakwood for several years. Ruthe was devoted to her family. She enjoyed family gatherings and having all her grandchildren and great grandchildren all together doing crafts and baking cookies. Ruthe was a member of the New London First Christian Church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Lewton, Matt Lewton, Aaron Musgrove, Doug Epperson, Dalton Benn, Dylan Benn, Austin Lewton, Nathan Lewton, Gage Musgrove and Jacob Lewton.
Memorial contribution may be made to the New London First Christian Church, in care of Smith Funeral Home and Chapel.
