Margery Gundling, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Living Center West Care Center.
There will be a visitation held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at Salem United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids. IA.
A second visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., on Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel, in Hannibal, MO.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pastor Bob Seaman will officiate. Private family burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.
Those left to cherish Margery's memory are her children, Debby (Jon) Adams of Cedar Rapids; Kristi (Greg) Moran of St. Louis; Rebekah (John) Flowers of St. Louis; four grand-children, Dan (Liz) Adams of St. Louis; Carl (Jessica) Adams of Des Moines; James (Brittany) Flowers of St. Louis, Sarah Flowers of St. Louis, one brother, Bill (Carol) Muehring of Quincy Illinois, five great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter and one daughter, Michel Christine.
Margery was born on January 11, 1927, to Carl and Mary Maple Muehring in Hannibal, Missouri.
She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids, the General Federated Women's Club of Cedar Rapids and Hannibal, the Tea Ladies in Cedar Rapids, Hannibal Hospital Auxiliary and a past member of Park United Methodist Church of Hannibal
Margery enjoyed oil painting, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
Memorials may be directed to Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy or Salem United Methodist Church, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
