Larry Edward Ard, 69, of Hannibal, Mo. passed away at 11:52 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015, at his home.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bowling Green, Mo.
Larry was born January 4, 1946, in Louisiana, Mo. the son of Prince and Jessie Lucille Kuntz Ard.
He was previously married to Rachel Zumwalt, they later divorced and she preceded him in death on June 30, 2005.
Survivors include, two sons, Larry Dale Ard and Rodney Wayne Ard of Hannibal, Mo., one daughter, Kimberly Diana Williams of Palmyra, Mo., one brother, Harold Ard (Doris) of Washington, Mo., three sisters, Claudine Phillips of Troy, Mo., Juanita Gates of St. Louis, Mo., and Betty Minor (Robert) of Louisiana, Mo., five grandchildren, Jennifer, Matt, Emily, Jessie and Nate, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ard was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Bufford Gates and Roy Phillips.
Mr. Ard owned and operated the Junction Auto Sales in Bowling Green for several years. He enjoyed working on automobiles and dealing with customers in auto sales. Larry also enjoyed watching westerns, gardening, cooking and spending time with his family. Mr. Ard was a Christian by faith.
