Frank L. Calicotte, 83, of Hannibal, Mo. passed away at 4:49 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2015, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Graveside services and burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Grand View Burial Park. Pastor Tom Day will officiate.
Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel, in Hannibal.
The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
Mr. Calicotte was born July 10, 1932, in Hannibal, Mo. the son of Victor and Wilhelmina (Jolly) Calicotte. He was raised by his grandparents, James and Sadie (Welch) Calicotte at a young age.
Frank was united in marriage to Permelia "Jane" Newlon on December 14, 1956, at the First Christian Church in Hannibal. She survives him.
Other survivors include one son, David Calicotte and wife Kathy; one daughter, Linda Carr and husband Gary all of Hannibal; one brother, Fred Calicotte (Marshia) of St. James, Mo; one sister Carolyn Van Sickle (Harold) of Mexico, Mo; four grandchildren, Rachel Deming (Adam Pfeiffer), Jonathan Robison, Samantha Calicotte (Jake Hull), and Shara Brothers; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Deming and Elsie Reese Grier; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and grandparents, Mr. Calicotte was preceded in death by one brother, Victor Robert Calicotte.
Mr. Calicotte served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Mills Auto Parts and Car Quest as a machinist until his retirement. Frank enjoyed wood working, working on and cleaning his vehicles and his children's vehicles, and spending time with his friends at the coffee shop. He also enjoyed family trips every year to Branson since the 1970's. Frank was a member of Oakwood Christian Church.
Pallbearers will be Rachel Deming, Adam Pfeiffer, Jonathan Robison, Samantha Calicotte, Jake Hull, and Gary Carr.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakwood Christian Church or Hospice Promise Foundation, in care the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
