Charlotte McDowell Obituary
Charlotte Margaret (McAfee) McDowell, 61, of St. Jacob, IL formerly of Hannibal, MO went to be with the Lord at 6:05 PM Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pastor Jeff Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Grand View Burial Park.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
Charlotte was born on October 6, 1954, in Hannibal, MO the daughter of Jerry Ray and Mary Evelyn (Glascock) McAfee.
Survivors include one son, Ryan McDowell and wife Angela of St. Jacob, IL; one daughter, Tiffany Robertson and fiancé Adam Epperson of Frankford, MO; two brothers, Dennis McAfee and wife Debbie and Jay McAfee all of Hannibal, MO; one sister, Mary Kim Cull of Hannibal, MO; three grandchildren, Sophi, Molli and Matthew McDowell; one niece, Lacy Cull and three nephews, Steven McAfee, Zach Cull and Denny McAfee.
Ms. McDowell was preceded in death by her parents.
Charlotte graduated from Hannibal High School in 1972. She worked for R.J. Reynolds Company as a territorial sales manager until her health forced her to retire.
Charlotte loved spending time with her family and friends. Most of all she cherished the time watching her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers, shopping and reading.
Charlotte loved the Lord, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
