Tully “Ross” Achord, Jr., 81, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 12:33 PM Wednesday, September  25, 2019, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal, MO.

A private family graveside service will be held Monday, September 30, 2019, at Grand View Burial Park.  Pastor Stacie Williams will officiate.

The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel of Hannibal.

Ross was born on March 8, 1938, in Baton Rouge, LA the son of Tully Ross and Sara M. (Shaffett) Achord, Sr. 

Survivors include a sister, Beth Tarleton and husband Buddy; nieces, Holly Throndson (Dan) and Meredith VanTress (Jeff) all of Hannibal, MO; and several great nieces and nephews.

Ross was preceded in death by his parents.

Ross was an avid Cardinal’s fan that hardly ever missed watching a game.  Ross also enjoyed socializing with his friends and in his younger years he loved shooting pool and playing ping pong.

Ross was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Rensselaer, MO.

Pallbearers will be Buddy Tarleton, Dan Throndson, Jeff VanTress, Mike Marx, Thomas R. Miller and Larry Mack.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mark Twain Area Habitat for Humanity, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
