Emaleigh Rose Dodd

Emaleigh Rose Dodd, beloved first daughter of Michael and Abigayle Dodd of Hannibal was born sleeping on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Hannibal Regional Hospital. Our lives were touched by her struggle to be here and the joyful surprise that we got to know her at all. Please keep us in your thoughts as we prepare for her funeral and coming to terms with our lives here without her.

There will be a funeral service for family, friends and everyone her little life touched. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 11, 2018, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal.  Chaplain Mark Burkey will be officiating. There will be a visitation held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Waters Funeral Home. 

Emaleigh Rose is survived by her parents; maternal grandparents, Scott & Tonya Seddon of New London, MO; paternal grandparents, Richard & Nora Dodd of Hannibal, MO; Aunts and Uncles, Brooke (Colton) Cochran of Hannibal, John Seddon of Spring Hill, TN, Christopher Seddon of Spring Hill, TN, Charley Seddon of New London, MO, Zachary Seddon of New London, MO, Richard Dodd, Jr. of Hannibal, MO, Jared (Megan) Dodd and their children Jared (Jr.) and Charlee of Hannibal, MO; and many other family, friends and loved ones. 

Emaleigh Rose was preceeded in death by two great grandpas, Lawrence “Larry” Dodd Sr. and Tom Whittaker both of Hannibal, MO. 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to PLIDA (Pregnancy Loss and Infant Death Alliance) of Castle Rock, Colorado, in the care of Waters Funeral Home 500 S. Main Street P.O. Box 84 Vandalia, MO 63382.
