Yvonne was first married to Ted Fishback who preceded her in death in 1957. She later was married to James Thurman Cassidy and he preceded her in death in 1990.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Knepp (Bill) of St. Louis, MO, Ellen Stringer (Tracy) of Lake Charles, LA; one son, Brent Cassidy (Lori) of Hannibal, MO; two brothers, Bob Wilgus (Gwen) and Larry Wilgus (Mary Jane) all of Hannibal, MO; one sister, Betty Lou Stribling (John) of Ogden, IA; five grandchildren, Jake Knepp (Ashley), Kaylen Knepp, Cassidy Stringer, Carson Stringer, and Haley Wayman (Matt); two great grandchildren, Hudson Knepp and Henry Wayman; along with several nieces and a nephew and their families.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Cassidy was preceded in death by one grandson, Josh Cassidy.

Yvonne graduated from La Plata High School in 1949. She furthered her education at Northeast Missouri State Teachers College (Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO. She taught school in New Cambria, MO before making her home in Hannibal where she taught for several years and then stayed home to raise her family. She stayed active in the school system for years by substitute teaching.

Mrs. Cassidy was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Hannibal for 60 years. She was very involved in her church with Sunday School, Handbell choir, committees and other activities. Yvonne also was very active in the Hannibal Regional Hospital Auxiliary.

Yvonne enjoyed bicycling, boating, and traveling with friends and family. She spent endless hours on the river and at the Lake of the Ozarks with her family. She traveled extensively with friends/family and many of those trips were on bicycle tours. Her biggest love was her family-attending her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren's activities and special moments in their lives. She cherished every moment. She also was very involved in the lives of her brothers and sister and their children. To her nieces and nephew and all their children, she was fondly known as "Aunt Sissie". Yvonne was an amazing and special lady whose memories will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Dirk Sauer, Jim Humphreys, Bob Wathen, Jamie Creech, Jake Knepp, and Cassidy Stringer.
