Margaret Ann Cordry, 80, of Hannibal, Mo. passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Park United Methodist Church. Pastor Charles Bindemann will officiate with Fr. Mike Quinn assisting. Burial will be in the Grand View Burial Park.
Visitation will be held 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Park United Methodist Church.
The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal.
Margaret was born on February 05, 1937, in Louisiana, MO, the daughter of Merrell Creech and Julia Francis Patton LaBar.
She was united in marriage to Jim Cordry on October 30, 1979, in Hannibal, Mo. He survives her.
Other family members include two daughters, Stella Ann Maly and husband Otto of Columbia, MO, and children Cody and Sydney Maly, Connie Dewey and husband Dennis of Chambersburg, PA, and children Leanna Krogmann and Emily Hoger (Mark); one son, John Wesley Dillender II who preceded her in death on February 12, 1986, and his surviving son John Wood; two stepchildren, Mark Cordry and wife Judy of Meridian, ID and Tara Clark and husband Brent of Williams, AZ; two stepsisters, Marilyn Elliott of Louisiana, MO and Esther Sanders of Glasgow, MO; nine additional grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cordry was preceded in death by her son, and two stepsisters, Madilyn Capps and Sharon Howard.
Margaret graduated from Louisiana High School in the class of 1955. She had worked at Hannibal Carbide for several years where she served as Vice President until her retirement in 2000.
Margaret and Jim were faithful members of Park United Methodist Church. She had served on the Finance Committee and most recently the Pastor Parish and other committees within the church.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, reading, watching Turner Classic Movies and wintering with her husband in Panama City Beach, Florida for 18 years. Most of all she enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends. She cherished her grandchildren and was always there for them and involved in their activities.
Pallbearers will be Dennis Dewey, Otto Maly, Mark Hoger, Cody Maly, Skip Price and Clayton McCruden.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mrs. Cordry's grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Park United Methodist Church, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
