Lurena L. Knopp, Aug. 25, 1940 a€" Sept. 28, 2017, was born in Keokuk, Ia. to George Earl Ellis and Beatrice S. Land.
Cremation arrangments are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. No services are planned at this time.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Wood, Marian Gann and Josaline Hughson; brothers-in-law, Hugh L. Wood and Franklin Charlton; her mother and father; stepfather, Chester Callsen, and stepmother, Cynthia Ellis; two nephews and one niece; sister, Patricia Chaknine, and brother-in-law, Lerroy Chaknine.
Lurena is survived by brothers, George Ellis (Sandy) of Keokuk, Ia. and Ronald Ellis (Margaret) of Independence, Mo.; sisters, Jacklyn Charlton of Palmyra, Mo., Carolyn Clark of Lee's Summit, Mo., Gracie Vorwaldt (Roland) of Ottumwa, Ia.; her kids, William Maurice Knopp (Sheila) of Bullhead City, Ariz., Terry Schultz of Washington, Donna Shaw (David) of Hannibal, Mo.; numerous nieces, nephews, 12 grandkids and eight great-grandkids.
