Lorraine was born on January 9, 1921, in Ralls County, Mo., the daughter of Ernst Henry and Emma Henrietta (Riefesel) Steinmann.

She was married to Joe Fry on January 24, 1970 in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on April 28, 2014.

Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews, including great, great-great and great-great-great, which she liked to boast about, having lived long enough to see the great-great-great. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Norma Jean Northcutt of Hannibal and one brother-in-law, James "Jack" Fry (Cindy) of Florida.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Brabant and Hazel Pohlmann, three brothers, Andrew, Harlan and Wilburt Steinmann.

Professionally, Lorraine worked for Western Printing in Hannibal until her retirement. She was proud of the fact that she was good with numbers and took care of books for various people for many years. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles, which in her words, "stimulated the brain". She and Joe loved their music and spent much of their time in Hannibal entertaining at area nursing homes as well as spending winters in Mission, Tx. in their later years and looked forward to having their "jam sessions" at various RV parks there.

Lorraine was a Lutheran by faith.
