Dennis Boleach Obituary

Dennis Ray Boleach, 62, of New London, MO passed away at 10:07 AM Friday, March 11, 2016, at University of Missouri Hospital & Clinics in Columbia, MO

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel. Pastor Tom Day will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.

Dennis was born June 2, 1953, in Hannibal, MO the son of Elmer "Cootz" and Delores (Lamberson) Boleach. Dennis was raised by his grandparents, Art and Wilma Lamberson, at a young age.

Survivors include one son, Brian Boleach and wife Sarah of New London, MO; three grandchildren, Aaron, Emma and Madison Boleach all of New London, MO; step-mother, Thelma Naylor of Florida and ex-wife, Marilyn Cowden of New London, MO.

Mr. Boleach was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

Dennis had previously worked as a machinist at Gardner Denver, and Hollister Whitney Elevator in Quincy, IL. Most recently he worked as a prison guard in Bowling Green, MO, until his health had forced him into retirement.

Mr. Boleach was a simple man. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years with his son Brian. Dennis also enjoyed watching westerns especially Walker Texas Ranger and Chuck Norris movies. Lately he enjoyed taking several trips to his son's house and business to catch up on the business activity. But most of all Dennis enjoyed going out for breakfast and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Boleach was a Christian by faith.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Boleach, Donnie McLeod, Larry Stice, Francis Stice, Chris Parish and Jeff Rush. Honorary Pallbearer will be Bill Rush.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New London Fire Department Training Center, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
