Ben Baughman Obituary
Ben Baughman, 84, of Hannibal, Mo. passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Funeral services in honor of Mr. Baughman will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Calvary Baptist Church in Hannibal. Bro. Ron Haye will officiate. Burial will be in Bellflower Cemetery in Bellflower, Mo.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the church.
The family is being served by the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel, in Hannibal.
Ben was born on September 2, 1932, in Carthage, Mo. the son of Delbert and Jessie (Baland) Baughman.
Survivors include one sister, Donna Sue Blakemore of Santa Barbara, Ca.; four cousins, Loretta Mapes, Janice Hendricks, Gary Adams and Dick Adams; and three nieces.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Baughman was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Baland who raised him from a young age until he was an adult.
Ben had lived in Hannibal for forty plus, previously residing at the HRT Lodge and just recently moved to Hill Side Care Center. Mr. Baughman was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he attended every chance he was able. Ben enjoyed visiting with his family and his many friends he had grown to love over the years. One of Ben's cherished things to do was socialize at Walmart.
Pallbearers will be Doug Merrell, Steve Miller, Dave Dexheimer, David Parrish, Kevin Lionberger, Brandi Lionberger, Caleb Lionberger, and Ryan Lionberger.
Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, in care of the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel.
