Vernon E. Miller, 84, of Hannibal, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Levering Regional Healthcare Center. An Interment Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012, at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville, Missouri. Rev. Danny Shelton will officiate. Vernon was born November 8, 1927, at Whitesville, Indiana, a son of Rev. Willard D. and Ada O. Wright Miller. Survivors include two sons, Michael Miller and Peter Miller, both of Austria; two brothers, Gale J. Miller of Vandalia and Willard D. Miller of Louisiana. Vernon was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters: Melvin D. Miller, Homer Miller and Paul Miller; Zelma Claggett and Velma Jennings.

Vernon was veteran of the U. S. Army. He was also an antique dealer in downtown Hannibal.
